Job Summary:
Our client is seeking for a diligent and reliable Kitchen Stewards to join their culinary team. The Kitchen Stewards will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and hygiene standards in the kitchen. This position involves ensuring that all kitchen areas, including dishwashing stations, equipment and utensils, are kept clean and ready for use by the culinary staff. The ideal candidate is a team player with a strong work ethic, attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Washing and drying store dishes, utensils, pots, pans and kitchen other equipment.
- Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, including floors, walls and counters. Clean kitchen equipment and ensure it is in good working condition.
- Collecting and dispose of trash, recyclables, and compostables according to established procedures.
- Assisting in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper rotation of ingredients and supplies.
- Assisting chefs and kitchen staff in basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and assembling ingredients as needed.
- Adhering to all health, safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper food handling and storage practices.
Qualifications:
- High school Certification or equivalent preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills.
- Any college certification is a plus.
